Pastor Lance Rhoades serves as the Executive Director of the South Pittsburgh Opioid Action Coalition (SPOAC). SPOAC engages with the South Hills community to increase access to substance use disorder treatment and support services, reduce stigma and discrimination, hold community events, and bring together community members, professionals, and faith leaders to promote SUD-related topics.
Pastor Lance has served on the steering committee of the Pittsburgh Recovery Walk for three years. This is his second year as co-host of the PRW livestream. He is the pastor of Tree of Life Open Bible Church in Brookline. Tree of Life hosts several recovery peer support meetings and also holds church services specifically for people in recovery led by people in recovery.
