How much does it cost to participate?
This entire event is completely free.

How do I get a t-shirt?
Free t-shirts will be distributed at the registration tent at 11th Street and Waterfront Place. Come early to make sure you get one before they run out!

I would like to register a group. Can I do that, or does each person need to register individually?
You can register up to 50 attendees under one registration and have the option to include each person’s name and email address. You are also welcome to complete multiple registrations using the same name to create your own group.

Do I have to register in advance?
Advance registration is not required, but it is encouraged. Register to stay updated on the day’s events, help us estimate how many t-shirts to bring, and learn about volunteer and outreach opportunities.

Do I have to register at all?
Registration is not mandatory! Feel free to join us downtown on September 7th, even if you prefer not to register. We appreciate registrants because it helps us anticipate the size of the event. But it’s not required.

Can I make a financial gift to support the walk?
YES! Thank you for your support – this event is funded solely by sponsorship and donations. When you register, you can make an optional donation. You can also make a donation by visiting pghrecoverywalk.org/donate.

Can my company join the event as a sponsor?
YES! Thank you for your support – this event is funded solely by sponsorship and donations. Sponsors receive recognition online and in-person, along with the opportunity to outreach to participants. If your company would like to sponsor the event or host a table, please visit pghrecoverywalk.org/sponsor-the-walk.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to the event?
Carpool and public transportation are encouraged. Downtown parking lots and metered street parking will be available.

Is the event handicap accessible?
Yes, the event location and route are handicap accessible.

Will there be accommodations for people who with hearing impairments?
Yes, there will be an ASL interpreter for the stage program.

What can I bring to the event?
Children and friendly dogs who are ok with other dogs and big crowds are more than welcome. Bring some pocket money to buy lunch from various food trucks. (Water and coffee will be available to participants at no cost.) And please bring your friends and family!

I AGREE – I, for myself, my heirs, and executors, in consideration of any participation in PITTSBURGH RECOVERY WALK and Recovery Expo, hereafter called the event, hereby release and hold harmless IRETA and others connected with this event, including sponsors, cities, municipalities, employees, volunteers, or agents collectively called the event group, from any and all claims for damages or injuries which I may suffer in connection with the event. I hereby certify that I am in good condition and am able to walk in this event. Additionally, I will permit the use of my picture in broadcast, print, and other media. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to this waiver on your behalf. An adult must accompany children under 8 years of age.
