Jules Mackenzie Hughes

Jules Mackenzie Hughes is passionate about her work in the recovery field, helping LGBTQ individuals as a Certified Peer Specialist, a Certified Recovery Specialist, and a Certified Family Recovery Specialist.

In her recovery journey, she has overcome childhood sexual assault, family trauma, mental health issues, and 35 years of substance use, while addressing her gender identity as a transgender female. She recently celebrated 6 years in long-term recovery. Jules credits the unity, acceptance, and friendships she found in twelve-step fellowships with enabling her to learn how to live free of alcohol and drugs. Truth and transparency are the two main philosophies of her personal program of recovery.

Through her business, Metamorphosis Unlimited, Jules provides intensive hybrid social services to LGBTQ individuals upon discharge from inpatient treatment centers. She also proudly serves on the board of the Three Rivers Business Alliance Foundation.
