Jeneen Asque-Wilson | Drug & Alcohol Program Manager

Jeneen Asque-Wilson is a dedicated behavioral health professional with more than 20 years of experience in the drug and alcohol field. Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about helping individuals and families impacted by substance use and believes strongly in meeting people where they are, connecting them with resources, and helping create opportunities for recovery and positive change.

Jeneen began her career working directly with individuals as a drug and alcohol therapist. She later served as a mobile assessment therapist, providing assessments and helping individuals navigate treatment options during critical points in their lives. Her career continued to evolve into leadership and system-focused roles, including Business Development and Program Director of Admissions. These experiences provided her with a unique understanding of the substance use disorder system from the perspective of the individual seeking help to the programs, providers, and systems responsible for delivering that help.

Today, Jeneen serves as a Drug & Alcohol Program Manager with the Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health, Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services (BDAS). In this role, she brings her years of direct service and leadership experience into her work with communities, providers, government partners, and other stakeholders. Her work includes community engagement and outreach, overdose prevention and education, Narcan training and awareness, recovery-focused initiatives, and efforts to strengthen connections to substance use disorder treatment and supportive services. She also supports initiatives designed to identify gaps and improve the continuum of care, while creating opportunities for individuals with lived experience and community members to have a voice in how services are developed and improved.

At the heart of Jeneen’s work is a genuine passion for people. Whether working one-on-one with someone seeking treatment, collaborating with providers, engaging residents in the community, or helping develop programs and initiatives, she believes that people deserve to be heard, respected, supported, and given access to the resources they need to move forward.

Outside of her professional life, family is at the center of Jeneen’s world. She is a wife, proud mother of two sons, and an even prouder grandmother. She enjoys traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, and making time for those much-needed girlfriend getaways and gatherings. For Jeneen, helping others is more than a career, it is a value that extends into every part of her life.
