Biography
Bob Charland brings six years of experience from his tenure in the previous Councilman’s office. Residing in the South Side with his wife, Bob is driven by a strong commitment to continue and initiate impactful projects in every neighborhood. His civic contributions extend to serving on the boards of the New Leaders Council and Phipps Conservatory, along with volunteering at the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Center (Now Literacy Pittsburgh.)
A Pitt graduate with a B.S. in Biology, Bob’s government journey started with environmental campaigns after spending years bartending in South Pittsburgh. Bob’s primary focus lies in revitalizing Pittsburgh, emphasizing cleanliness, attracting public and private investments to his district, and fostering safe, vibrant main streets. In his free time, he enjoys Punk Rock music and harbors hope that the next year might be the year for buccos.
