Aleshia Jones

Aleshia Jones has been in recovery for 17 years, which astounds her every day. The amazing relationship she has with her seven children is one of the greatest benefits of recovery for her. Another benefit has been the opportunity to work and intern at POWER and Light of Life, both programs that she passed through early on her recovery journey. The staff there saw something in her that she was not yet able to see.

Aleshia received a bachelor’s degree in human services from Geneva College in 2015 and a master’s degree in addiction counseling in 2023 from Grand Canyon University. She has been working in the recovery field for the past eight years, currently as an assessment specialist at Pathway to Care and Recovery. Helping others on their journey to a new way of life is her passion. She says that she is living proof that recovery is possible and she is a firm believer in the saying that “one addict helping another is without parallel.”
