The 2020 Recovery Walk Will Be Semi-Virtual

Choose Your Own Adventure with #MyRoadPGH!

After a great deal of consideration, we have decided to adapt the traditional format of the Pittsburgh Recovery Walk so that all participants can remain safe and healthy. This year’s walk focuses on our individual journeys, so we are using the hashtag #MyRoadPGH.

More about #MyRoadPGH:

  • Register in advance to receive a t-shirt in the mail (Register here–and note that supplies are limited!)
  • Walk wherever you choose on or before Sept. 19
  • Record your walk with photos and videos and post them on social media with the hashtag #MyRoadPGH so we can find them
  • Tune in to our livestream on the evening of Sept. 19 for photos and videos from our individual walks, inspiring recovery speakers, our annual recovery award ceremony, and music by Jim Donovan and Sun King Warriors.

The online event will be streamed to our Instagram, Facebook, and here on our website.

#MyRoadPGH highlights our individual journeys through the struggle of addiction. It is a way to celebrate recovery, fight stigma, and illuminate resources for support. Most importantly, it will help us stay safe and healthy…so we can hug and celebrate together in 2021.

Join us for this year’s walk.

It’s going to be different, but still beautiful.

And more important than ever.
